A minimalistic Pomodoro Timer

The simplest Pomodoro timer you’ll find anywhere online.

Don’t forget to toggle the sound button to get notified of when the current timer is up.

How it works

The timer starts counting 25 minutes of work at the top of each hour (or as if it was started at the top to the hour), followed by 5 minutes of rest. The same happens at 30 minutes past the hour.

That’s an odd Pomodoro timer…

I agree it’s a bit strange, but it works well for me.

When I plan my day, I like to organise my tasks in slots of 30 minutes each. With other Pomodoro timers, I used to wait for the next 30-minute slot to begin before starting the timer. All the while I was doing close to nothing for fear of missing the exact right moment to click on the start button.

With this timer I don’t have to worry anymore. It tells me when the next phase starts, no matter what time it is. Genius 😉.
